AQUARIUS: Monthly Horoscope October 2019

Now is the time to get the ball rolling on your plans for a new adventure, Aquarius. This is the week to figure out what you’re doing for the next four months, how you’re going to prepare for the next chapter of your life, and what loose ends need to be tied up.

Mercury is moving into your 10thhouse of self-actualization on October 3rd, the same day that Pluto goes direct in your 12thhouse of unconscious motivations, so you have ample opportunity to connect your goals with your emotional development. There are a lot of memories about loss, your past mistakes, and childhood trauma coming up now for you to deal with, at the same time that you are making plans for a move or trip.

Moving to a new place can bring up a lot of old fears about inadequacy and self-worth. You remember all the difficult times you’ve had when you’ve tried do something new, how challenging it can be to make new friend groups, and the distance you feel from your family and home.

But these memories are coming up for self-transformation, not for self-sabotage. Don’t hold back from your next step because of fear. Revisit these memories in order to apply new understanding to old patterns. You don’t have to replay the same story over and over again. Learn from those fears and make the changes that are necessary, so they don’t play out again when you transition to a new space.

You may be thinking about travel plans or getting yourself in order for a move, but this week has other ideas in store for you, Aquarius. You’re going to have to focus on some commitments you made at work on October 7thand 8th, when both Mercury and Venus in your 10thhouse are lit up by Uranus.

Your plans at home are changing because of some shifts at your work—and while this will ultimately be a good thing, it might feel startling in the moment. This is the time to embrace the changes and allow for your plans to be changed because of a fortunate opportunity.

A family member may need some support on October 12thwhen Venus makes a direct connection with Uranus in your 4thhouse. Even though you might be enjoying a renaissance in your career and work opportunities, duty calls. Pay attention to who needs your support now, because you may regret not being there for them later.

The Full Moon in Aries on October 13thwill bring some more news from your family—this time a sibling, family friend, or neighbor. It’s going to feel like just as your packing your bags and hitting the road, everything goes wrong at home. And it some ways, you’re right. But what’s really happening here is that your family wants your attention. Chosen or blood, people in your life who have deep connections with you want to share your presence before you go. So make the time this Full Moon for quality connections. You won’t regret it.

If you’re nervous about things at home or with your family, a good outlet for that energy may be to spend some time with friends. You have Jupiter sesquiquadrate Uranus in your 4thhouse of home and family on October 14th,showing me that some changes are coming for your home life, if they’re not present already. You may want to spend some time with a family member who has fallen ill, or address some details of your home situation, and the precariousness of the situation might prove nerve wrecking.

Lean into your friendships as sources of support now, and remember to lighten the mood whenever you can. You might get some good news about a job opportunity or career move on October 15th,  and you’ll want to take advantage by keeping your spirits up.

This is not a good day for signing contracts or working out the details, as the Mercury-Neptune trine is not good for working out the finer details of a new prospective offer. It’s more of a broad brushstroke you’ll want to finesse later.

You’ll be very aware of your job performance, personal appeal, and popularity now, as the charm is turned on at work and you strive to live up to your own expectations for your output.

Remember to keep a realistic idea of what you can accomplish during this time and the amount of time and dedication it takes to get to where you’d like to be. Watch out for October 23rd,when Venus sextile Pluto may make you especially critical of your own work ethic and performance. What you’re looking for is a sense of worthiness in your work, which can ultimately only come from your own approval.

What standards do you want to set for yourself so that you feel confident about your performance? The time to take control of your own sense of self-worth comes on October 27th,with the New Moon in Scorpio.

Now is the time to define what you think is valuable, what you think is important, and how you want to integrate those values into your daily work. Don’t give your power away by letting others define this for you. Make sure you set your own guidelines now.

We end the month with Halloween, when Mercury goes retrograde in Scorpio on October 31st,and work may come calling when all you want do is play. This is why setting boundaries on the New Moon is important now. Make sure you have adequate time to yourself to have some fun, feel the spirit, and enjoy in the moment—you have to have off time too.
